Potassium Nitrate……25 %

AREAS OF USE: ARY Silver Nitrate Stick is used for cauterization of skin and mucous membrane, suppressing warts and granulation tissue, nosebleeds, and to stop bleeding in small surgical operations.

ARY Silver Nitrate Stick is applied on affected region directly or wetting its tip by water. Its strength is controlled by diluting with water. Each stick is for single use only.

WARNING: Poison (Refer to Toxicology). Do not use in or close by eyes.

MEASURES: It should be stored in closed packing, at room temperature, in dry places and protected from sunlight. Silver Nitrate is highly responsive to light and it turns black when exposed to light. However, it does not affect its strength and usability. Black spots that appears on skin as it contacts will disappear gradually.

ANTIDOTES: In external cases, immediately wash with plenty of water and continue with salty water solution afterwards. Call a doctor or emergency service of hospitals. In internal cases, drink plenty of salty water and continue with nauseants. Give magnesium sulphate and milk afterwards. Call a doctor.

TOXICOLOGY: Silver Nitrate is a strong poison that can be fatal when eaten or swallowed. Symptoms are toxic gastroenteritis including coma, trauma, apoplexy, and changes in cutaneous respiration.
